What Would You Like to Know?
What do you grow?
We are in the process of transitioning from black angus cattle that are grass fed and grain finished to red southpoll cattle that will be grass fed and finished. As we are in the process of transitioning availability may be limited. Please contact us for availability.
We also raise grass fed and finished lamb and mutton.
Along with our ruminant animals, we produce farm fresh eggs. Available for pick-up at the farm or Columbia Famer’s Market only.
Do you use antibiotics or growth hormones?
We do not use any growth hormones, de-wormers,or chemicals when caring for our animals. The only time an animal will receive an antibiotic is if it is necessary for the health and well being of a specific animal, and this will be disclosed before the purchase of the animal.
How long before I receive my beef or lamb?
The butcher date is the day that we take the live steer or lamb to the butcher shop. We all know what happens there. This is not the pick up date. Processing takes approximately four weeks to complete from the butcher date to pick up.
You the consumer will then pick up the meat from the processor, unless delivery arrangements have been previously made
What is the process for placing an order?
Reach out to Lorenz Livestock via phone, e-mail, or the chat feature on our page. Let us know what you are interested in or what questions you might have.
We will let you know what we currently have available, or when we expect to have availability. We require a $500 deposit for beef and a $100 deposit for lamb. Once the deposit is received we will book a processing date if we do not currently have an animal ready.
Full payment must be received prior to the processing date, ideally one week before. All deposits are non-refundable.
You will pay Lorenz Livestock for the animal, and separately pay the processor. Currently we use Tune’s Locker in Centralia, as they have provided excellent services and are currently the best priced.
One nice benefit of ordering a beef or lamb from us is that you will get to inform the processor exactly how you want your meat cut and packaged.
